Dear minimus:
After having read your life story, I came to
the understanding that you held some kind of
position of authority in the organization.
So, when you now say, I never second guess
the obvious regarding the organization it
raised some questions.
If an individual was in the organization for
any length of time and held a position in
the organization if he or she claimed that
they never once second guessed themselves
prior to or even after words I would find
that hard to believe.
In particular with the thread titled:
"Were You Ever Afraid That You Might've
Made The Wrong Decision In Leaving."
Granted, it may happen, however, I would
say that is more the exception than the
rule.
Respectfully,
Richard

Dear minimus:
I understand your perspective now, however,
is it safe to say that prior to your "Knowing"
that it was not the truth did you second guess
yourself?
Not once, did you ever think for a moment am
I doing the right thing or not?

Question: "I don't second guess the obvious either."-minimus
Are you saying that the moment you felt that it
was not the truth anymore you walked away that
very minute?
Not once, did you ever think for a moment am
I doing the right thing or not?

Fossil Evidence Of Predation in Dinosaurs
by metatron inhttp://www.yale.edu/ypmip/predation/chapter_09.pdf.
how exhaustive does this evidence have to be?
the world god made was absolutely loaded with.

Dear Leolaia:
Thank you, when I initially looked up
the information source I noticed it
was a question about the issue of
blood which at first confused me.
However, I saw the quote. Interesting,
I had spent 14 years in the organization
and I never recalled that "teaching."
Thanks again,

Dear metatron:
Could you please clarify your point regarding this discussion?
The existence of Dinosaurs are an archaeological fact unless
I am missing a point here.
Someone, else offered their viewpoint, but I would rather see
it stated by the article writer.

"The point is that official dub teaching is that all animals lived peacably with each other"-CaptainSchmideo
Personally, I do not recall that, however, I do recall
the teaching of animals living at peace with each other
in the paradise earth as Jehovah's Witnesses teach.
Source of information please Captain? -

Dear minimus:
Second guessing myself was always present because
in the beginning I only had my intuition guiding
me.
It was only after having researched hardcopy
evidence about the Watchtower Society is
when I really became convinced it was the
right decision based on evidence.

Mary Lou and Joyce shunned me - so I shunned them back.
by AK - Jeff ini used to carry a 'no shunning' policy.
i would not tolerate those who acted toward me like they did not know me after 30 years as a jw.
i would force them to speak - or embarrass the living hell out of them if they didn't.

Dear Jeff:
The ignorance is just so profound with these
people. Can you blame people who allow them-
selves to be so throughly brainwashed?
As in our private telephone conversations,
I have mentioned seeing these people quite
often and the narrow-mindedness is a staple
in that organization.
Stupid is as stupid does I guess.

Dear friends:
Thank you for the tremendous commentary regarding
the subject of beliefs and challenges toward them.
In particular, poppers and shawn struck gold with
some of their commentary regarding beliefs.
"To have them challenged often brings a defensive reaction because that challenge subverts their identity, and who wants that?"-Poppers
"As new information is gathered, YOUR BELIEFS SHOULD CHANGE ON A DAILY BASIS."-Shawn

Why is it so hard for a JW to admit when they are wrong about anything?
by A-Team inespecially about the bible??
why would jws rather argue and argue instead of admitting defeat and wrongdoing?
-
The wanderer
Dear A-Team:
"Why would JWs rather argue and argue instead of admitting defeat and wrongdoing?"-A-Team
Regarding your question takes into account several
factors. However, to save time the one perspective
that is undeniable is that by admitting something
is wrong is to harbor doubts about their beliefs.
If questions are raised and they do not defend the
belief system, then within the minds of these
individuals it may lead them to think they
may not have the "truth" as so they thought.
Respectfully,
Richard
